Okay, hear me out: Dave & Buster’s may just be this summer’s MVP. After a tip from a friend, we bought the Platinum Summer Season Pass and took it for a spin this weekend. We figured that between the unlimited gameplay and 30% off food and drinks every time we go, it would pay for itself after two visits. And I think we’re definitely onto something.
Here’s the deal:
- You pay once (the Platinum pass is $149.99 now through September 1, 2025),
- The Platinum pass has no blackout dates, and ticket earnings top out at 2,000 a week
- You can stop in whenever, play a few games, and grab snacks and a drink without feeling like you’re bleeding money.
The tickets are enough to get your kid a little something after each visit and the pass gives you an excuse to cool off when it gets unbearably hot outside without dropping a ton of cash during each visit.
There are a few caveats, like it doesn’t work on games like claw machines or the Minecraft game that gives you cards (a little bit of a disappointment for my kid), but there’s still a ton to do even without those games. You just have to wait 30 seconds between each swipe so the whole family can join in on the fun!
So, if you’ve got a Dave & Buster’s nearby and you know you’ll be looking for air-conditioned fun that comes with nachos and a built-in excuse to skip cooking, this might be your sign. Get yourself a summer season pass!
